12 March 2007. The second round of the public consultations in the frame of the project took place in Chisinau on 5 March and in Tiraspol on 6 March 2007. The Regulationon public and stakeholders participation at the meetings of the Plenipotentiaries and the Action Programme to improve transboundary cooperation and sustainable management of the Dniester River in 2007-2009 were the topics for discussion at the meeting.
28 February 2007. During the last extended project meeting that took place in Chernovtsy, Ukraine on 23-24 February 2007 texts of two important documents were negotiated and agreed upon:
- A new Agreement on cooperation on conservation and sustainable development of the Dniester River basin, and
- A Regulation on public and stakeholders participation at the meetings of the Plenipotentiaries (under the Moldovan-Ukrainian Agreement on the Joint Management and Protection of the Cross-Border Waters from 1994)
The final meeting of the project will take place in Moldova in mid-June 2007.<
