19 January 2007. Mr Bo Libert, the Regional Advisor on Environment from the UNECE Secretariat, met Mr Mykola Babich, Deputy Head of the State Committee on Water Management of Ukraine in Kiev on 18 January 2007 to discuss project development. Similar meeting with Mr Victor Moiseenko, Head of the Water Resources Management Department in the MoE of Ukraine took place on the following day.
7 December 2006. The first round of the public consultations in the frame of the project took place in Berzhany, Ternopil oblast on 2 December 2006 and in Chisinau on 6 December 2006. A draft Agreement on cooperation on conservation and sustainable development of the Dniester River basin and the draft Regulation on public and stakeholders participation at the meetings of the Plenipotentiaries were discussed at the meeting. The participants came from various places lying in the Dniester river basin.
